Grandparents Day

Today we had our first ever Grandparents Day in the school. Fr. Heinhold said mass for our Grandparents and our 2nd-4th class children. Then our Grandparents were invited into our school to see our classrooms and meet our teachers and staff. They were also treated to tea and cakes from our Parents’ Association. It was a great day enjoyed by all!

A huge thank you to our wonderful Parents’ Association, who spent a full day here with us preparing and catering for our Grandparents. We would be lost without them!

A special thank you to Fr. Heinhold for his co-operation in organising mass for us.

Finally, a huge thank you to Ms. O’Connor and Ms. O’Brien. They have worked so hard in preparation for today, and that hard work was rewarded with a fantastic day for all today!

Project Spraoi

Alison from Project Spraoi has started her ‘Energizing’ activities with us in school.  She will come to us every week and work with our classes to become even fitter and healthier. We have even more pictures in our Project Spraoi section of our website and we will update them throughout the year.

Food Dudes

For the past number of weeks we have been taking part in the Food Dudes programme. For 16 days we have had fresh fruit and vegetables delivered to our school. The children get prizes for eating or tasting the fruit and vegetables. When the 16 days is finished, we will continue to get prizes if we bring fruit and vegetables in our lunches. The Food Dudes has been extremely popular in our school.
