Following our successful online safety workshops for children and parents last Thursday, the Anti-Bullying Committee have shared their Cyberbullying tips for children below. Please share these with your children.
A big thank you again to our Parent Association for funding the workshops and to our Anti-Bullying Committee for their ongoing work in our school. You will find the resources from the parent presentation at http://www.childrenofthedigitalage.org.
On Thursday 14th March at 7.30pm, we will hold a parent information evening in the school. Jason O’Mahony of Children of the Digital Age will present to parents on the topic of ‘understanding human behaviour in the online world’.
This will follow workshops with all classes during the school day.
The workshops and presentation have been organised by the Anti-Bullying Committee and funded by the Parents Association. We strongly encourage you to attend and we look forward to seeing you on the night.
Well done to our teams from 4th & 6th class who took part in the first ever Ficheall Bunscoile Chorcaí competition in the Upper Glanmire Sports Hall this week. Our school hosted our regional competition with over 160 children playing chess in the hall on Tuesday. We had a great day and we look forward to many more fun days ahead in the competition.

A huge thank you to our wonderful Parents Association following their annual Coffee Morning in the school today. They raised a fantastic €2140 towards the School Development Fund!
The children were great during their performances and there was a fantastic atmosphere around the school. Thank you to all who helped with baking and to Ryan’s SuperValu Glanmire for their sponsorship.

A Board of Management meeting was held on Tuesday 11th October 2016. The agreed report of the Board is available to view in the Board of Management section of the website or by clicking on the link below.
Well done to our boys who had a great night at the recent Grandons Community Cup in Glanmire. The boys were a credit to the school and performed very well, just missing out on a place in the final. A big thanks to Mr. Scanlon for his coaching and to Ms. Healy and Ms. O’Halloran for their support on the night.
Today we held our Action Day for Water on our journey towards our fourth Green Flag. The children wore blue and activities and presentations took place in all classes. We had visitors from the County Council, Irish Water Safety, and Ms. Healy’s Rang 4 even held a Water Fashion Show for us. The day was a great success and it wouldn’t have been possible without the efforts of our Green Schools Committee.
