Some children in Ms. Fogarty’s fourth class decided to represent the school and enter the ‘Make a Model Boat Project’ as part of the Cork Harbour Festival. Children spent time at home making their boats from recycled materials under the theme ‘Boats of the Future.’ On Thursday evening, 9 June the children gathered at the Lough to launch their boats in the water and to submit them for judging. It was a brilliant opportunity to show off how creative fourth class are and they all represented the school so well. A huge congratulations to everyone who took part.
I am very proud to announce that we had two winners in our class.
Clara McSweeney and Holly Galvin-Hegarty placed third in their age category.
Emma Johnson, Rebecca Dwane and Eva McDonald placed first in their age category.
The winning boats will be on display in the Cork City Library from this weekend for anyone who would like to go and see them.
