* Any children boxes which were not collected on Monday have now been left in the main hall. If possible it would be great if they could be collected before Friday to avoid confusion in September.
Update Monday 22nd of June
So here we are in our last week of 5th class.
Continue to revise in all subjects this week. Below are Maths activities for the week ahead. Some of you may have retuned your book rental book so these pages are available to view on folesonline.ie.
I won’t be returning as a teacher to Upper Glanmire next year due to a job swap so I wish you all the best in 6th class and with your transition into secondary school. Have a great Summer!
I will be available in the school to give out the children’s boxes from the class prefab door on Monday between 10am and 11am.

Update Thurday 19th March
Dear parents,
I hope you are all keeping well in these uncertain times.
Social media can be used in such a positive light at this time and there are many suggestions for activities online to help keep your child busy and learning at this time. Some of these activities require a digital device with an internet connection.
Folens have offered few access to view books online. This may be beneficial to you all but certainly to children who were away when the decision was made to close. FolensOnline.ie and put in the password Prim20. If your child was absent there is no problem. A spare copy can be used also.
I am mindful of the challenges that may occur for families in the coming weeks and do not want to cause any extra stress or pressures for you and your children. I would hope that children could engage in this process independently for the most part. Revision on topics is important and now is a fantastic time for children to engage in this also. Please note the below are suggestions. You as parents and the children themselves can pick and choose as they feel. I have put many resources and suggestions here for the weeks ahead.
If you have any questions during this school closure time, I can be contacted through email at n.omahony@upperglanmirens.ie.
Wishing you all health,
Norma O Mahony

PE
- Physical Education is about getting up and being active.
- You could get together with your brother or sister and find a dice. Make up different activities for 1 to 6. You could make this harder by adding a second dice and work up to 12. For example, 1 = 10 squats, 2 = running on spot for 10 seconds etc. Ask your family members to make up some to include everyone. If you don’t have a dice you can draw the net of a cube on paper and put it together to make one.
