For our final day we started the morning with a table quiz and came up with Christmas names for our teams. Then we had a bumper Christmas raffle…everyone was a winner 😀Today the school took part in Christmas Jumper day for two charities so we had our jumpers for that. Then we sang along with the video of our Christmas concert. After yard time we watched a movie.
HAPPY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE 🎄🎅🏻

21-12-12… The Panto came to Upper Glanmire…Virtually 😀

The children enjoyed the Panto presented by the Helix theatre in Dublin. It was a super production with lively songs and good laughs throughout. We also enjoyed a hot chocolate as a treat for the day. Thanks to the Parents Association for funding the streaming of the Panto 👍

Other activities… we had great fun in the morning with Biongó to help revise vocabulary in Gaeilge and practising phrases of what we would like for Christmas.

We also designed our own Christmas cards which turned out fantastic.

20-12-2021 CHRISTMAS WALK …We started today with a walk. We left the school grounds and headed down the hill to Ros Árd. We walked around the lower park and up through the path through the trees in the middle park. It was a very cold morning but we quickly warmed up, especially walking back up the hill to the school. Here are some photos of our rambles…

CRIB SERVICE …Today we also participated in a crib service which was recorded for the parish website and will be aired for Christmas. Our class did readings, sang songs and placed the statue of the Baby Jesus in the crib.

TALENT SHOW…We also find time for a mini talent show before the day was over. There fun displays of dancing, great singing and wonderful acting. Great talent in the class.

WEEK 2… 💡 🔬🚰🔍🔭SCIENCE WEEK 2021 – Seachtain na hEolaíochta 🔍🚰🔬🔭💡

This week we learned a lot about different areas of science. We did experiments, watched videos of experiments and participated in a live zoom with Peter Wright in the Wonderstruck Show. In this, we got to see Peter carry out various experiments using hydrogen… all strictly not to be tried at home but fun to watch and learn about. On Friday we had a science day and tried out various STEM activities working with forces, static electricity, engineering, designing and testing. There was great excitement in the classroom. Here are some photos and videos of our activities.
