Our Students’ Council had a very busy week planned for Friendship Week and were delighted with how everything went. Monday saw the Anti-Bullying Committee give a video demonstration to promote anti-bullying throughout our school.
Tuesday, luck was on our side as we organised yard games during the lunch break for all classes.
Wednesday we had a fantastic response to our fundraiser – Odd Sock and Colour Day for Down Syndrome Cork. The huge amount of €665 was raised for this very worthy case.
Thursday there was a party atmosphere in celebration of World Book Day with children dressing up as characters from their favourite books. The whole also took part in the Cha Cha Slide in the back yard for a bit of fun too.
We concluded our week with classes working on artwork and PE games with their Buddies. During assembly Karen from Down Syndrome Cork was presented with a cheque from the fundraiser on Wednesday.
We would like to thank everyone who helped out in any way and we hope everyone enjoyed the week. Please have a look through the photos of what was a great week!
