🌳🌈💐🌷MAY / BEALTAINE 🌷💐🌈🌳
May has slipped by really quickly. We have been very busy in between the showers. We designed shoebox rooms, learned about the properties of magnets, drew Minecraft self portraits and had a little treat on Friday. More to come including project work on Denmark, the Vikings and more. Heres a little photo roundup…

Week of 4th April 2022…

Fantastic Friday…for our final dat before the Easter holidays, Rang a Trí had a jam packed day. The day started off with completing Easter baskets and painting pictures to decorate the classroom windows for Easter. Our class learned about Easter week in our religion lesson.
We then played bingo as Gaeilge. We wrote about our plans for Easter. We learned some Easter vocab as Gaeilge from a vocab hunt around the school grounds. Completion of a wordsearch was possible having found these words.
This week we were learning about saving the bees as part of our our biodiversity awareness week. Today we planted two lavender plants in our biodiversity patch at the rear of the school. These plants should bloom from June onwards and we hope to see lots of bees visit this area in the future.

Rang a trí managed to fit in a walk to Ros Árd and the Community garden. We saw lots of signs of spring on the way and we identified the hawthorn tree and blackthorn tree.

Basketball on Monday… Rang a Trí had great fun in the sports hall practising bask skills. A good start to the week.

On Tuesday, the nominees from our class gave their speeches to the class. Ballot papers were give out afterwards and a secret ballot vote took place. Well done to all the candidates for putting themselves forward and the best of luck to our class representatives.

Wednesday… Biodiversity riddles…today we went around the school grounds and solved riddles based on biodiversity.

Hello April…a busy Friday in the classroom… Sewing, painting, drawing, cutting, gluing, designing, creating… Also worked on the Ipads, played Worldle and found countries in our atlases
, and map making around our school grounds.

SEACHTAIN NA GAEILGE
Bhaineamar an taitneamh ag déanamh iarracht níos mó Gaeilge a labhairt. Bhí comórtais ar siúl chun póstaeir a tharraingt leis an sean fhocal ”Ní neart go chur le chéile”. Bhuaigh Abbie, Shane agus David an chomórtas sin.
Dé Chéadaoin, ghlacamar páirt i dtráth na gceist sa halla le rang a ceathair chomh maith. Bhaineamar an taitneamh as an maidin le chéile.
