The children have settled in well to their new surroundings. We have been really busy! Some of our activities included using the small community hall for drama games, ciorcal cómhrá , a zoom call with a strength and conditioning coach and we also took a trip to the sensory garden. So we have been super active and have done loads more as well!
Below are some pics of the first week and a half back. The first photograph is of the children working on their Gaeilge. They conversed as gaeilge and then moved onto the next person asking a different set of questions. Fair play thú rang a cúig!
The second photograph shows the children meditating in the hall. They have taken to mindfulness really well and we have already got to 3 minutes of meditating whilst concentrating on their breath.
The last photograph shows us in class participating in a zoom call with Eamon Flanagan, the strength and conditioning coach of the Olympic and Paralympic athletes! It was a fascinating chat and we got so much out of it. Thanks to Ms. Flanagan for arranging the call and thanks to Eamon for taking time out of his busy schedule to answer our questions!
So, one week down and we are off to a great start!
