This week was National Biodiversity Week. As we are working on the Biodiversity theme in the Green-Schools Programme, we decided to get involved. Classes took part in Zooms on topics such as Birds, Insects and Biodiversity. The weather interfered with our plans to get out and about but we have started our Biodiversity patch. We hope to encourage a wide variety of creatures to this space by planting insect friendly shrubs and creating a ‘bug hotel’. We will be choosing a name for our patch before the end of May. Make sure to let your teacher know what your suggestions is before then. We will keep you posted in the coming weeks and share pictures of our progress. Below are some before pictures.
