A huge thank you to our wonderful Parents Association following their annual Coffee Morning in the school today. They raised a fantastic €2140 towards the School Development Fund!
The children were great during their performances and there was a fantastic atmosphere around the school. Thank you to all who helped with baking and to Ryan’s SuperValu Glanmire for their sponsorship.

The first Anti-Bullying Committee in Scoil Naomh Micheál has been setup! The members are;
Teaching staff: Mr. O’Sullivan, Ms. Murphy and Ms. Cooney.
Children: Jamie Ryan (6th class), Traolach Dawson (5th class), Macy O’Keeffe (4th class) and Jack Kelleher (3rd class).
Parents: Gillian Kelleher and Noelle McSweeney.
The committee met last Friday and there were many great suggestions. We aim to host one event per term. Thanks to all committee members for attending!
This morning we had a visit from Elaine Buckley from the ISPCC. Elaine spoke to all the children about ‘Childline’, their services, bullying shields and good/bad secrets. Elaine delivered a great lesson and the children were superbly behaved. Well done to all!

On September 29th, 2016, our Green School Committee along with School Travel Officer, Ellen Murphy undertook a walkability audit around our school. Their findings and recommendations are now available to view in the report below.
Well done to our boys and girls who won medals for Football and Cross Country Running at the weekend. We just about managed to fit them all in the picture!!!

Our new Green School Committee is now up and running. Lots of children were interested in being on our committee and there will be plenty of ways to get involved in the coming two years for those who were not chosen this time.
