The school are creating a biodiversity area to promote bee, butterfly and insect life. We are collecting sticks, red bricks, pipes, moss, acorns etc to fill a pallet structure. These can be brought in any day this week.
There is a competition to name the area. There were lots of ideas in school today. I asked the children to come up with ideas at home this evening.
We will be planting shrubs this week so if the children have a trowel, they can bring it to school. I have extra ones so if they don’t have one, I have one here they can use. Thanks.

It is also very important for your child to read for fun each evening if possible.

2nd Class

-Spellings 4 per night. We completed the LSCWC activity for tonight in school. This can be completed each evening from tomorrow on.

-Contractions. This week we are learning about contractions. Read this list together at home each evening. Put them into sentences orally

-Reading-As well as the reading below, each child has a novel in their school bags. Over the next two weeks, they must read this book at home. The books can be brought back to class Friday week, the 23rd.
