Upper Glanmire NS

Easter Letter 2018

23rd March 2018

Dear Parents,

The Easter break is upon us as we come to the end of another busy term in Scoil Naomh Micheál. It has been another productive term in our school and I would like to thank all those who continue to make our school such a vibrant and positive learning environment.

A huge thank you to all parents for your continued partnership and support. Thank you to our Parent Association who have been particularly busy in this past term. The support at our Open Night for incoming parents was greatly appreciated. The Confirmation party was once again a great success along with the family evening in Monkey Maze and Quiz Night in The Boothouse Bar. On Easter Sunday, the Parent Association will hold an Easter Egg Hunt on the school grounds and you are all more than welcome to join them from 11am.

Thank you also to the Parent Association for their advice and support regarding safety at the school gates before and after school. After the Easter Break, the school with the support of the Parent Association will continue to ensure the safety of children before and after school.

Thank you to White’s Cross GAA club for their continued support in our school. We continue to enjoy coaching sessions with Finbarr Kiely and have seen a fantastic interest in after school camogie training for girls. We look forward to the Sciath na Scol hurling and camogie commencing after the Easter break and thank the GAA club for the use of their facilities.

Thank you to the staff of our school, who continue to go above and beyond the call of duty to benefit our children. We are blessed to have a passionate and talented group of teachers, SNAs and ancillary staff in our school, and this is reflected in the positive atmosphere and learning environment evident in our school every day.

Below you will find a brief snapshot of some of the events that have taken place in our school in the short school term gone by. We will continue to keep you up to date with news and events through our website and our Facebook and Twitter pages.

I would like to wish our children, parents and staff, a Blessed Holy Week and a Happy Easter Break. We look forward to seeing you all safely back with us on Monday 9th April.

Le gach dea-ghuí,

Patrick O’Connell
