Upper Glanmire N.S.

End of year letter home – Mr. O’Connell

25th June 2015

Dear Parents,

The school year has come to an end, and it has been an extremely successful and productive one in Scoil Naomh Micheál.

I would like to thank you for helping to make my first year in Upper Glanmire so enjoyable and I look forward to many more happy years working closely with you.

I would like to thank the staff of our school for their hard work and dedication during the school year. We are fortunate to have a fantastic group of teachers, SNAs and ancillary staff, who go above and behind their call of duty to benefit the children in our school.

Thank you also to our Parents’ Association for their great work and contribution over the school year. They have raised funds to help update the computers in our school, organised a book drive to help update our Library, and have been a support to the school on a number of important occasions throughout the year. We hope to have a Parent’s Room in place for September to continue to strengthen the relationship between home and school.

Thank you also to the Community Association for the use of their hall and facilities next door. We are very fortunate to have access to such fabulous facilities and we hope to continue to work closely and support each other in the future.

Thank you to all at White’s Cross GAA club for their support. We are grateful for the coaching provided and the local support shown for our Sciath na Scol teams.

Below is a list of just some of the activities that have taken place in over the school year. This is only a snapshot of the great work taking place in our school on a daily basis. We will continue to update you regularly on our school website and Facebook pages, so please continue to visit and keep informed.

Finally, I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a safe and relaxing summer break. I would like to wish our outgoing Rang 6 the best on their journey to post-primary school, and I look forward to meeting our new Junior Infants, along with seeing you all on August 27th.

Le meas,

Patrick O’Connell
