The course is relatively flat. Between 1-2km there is a noticeable descent towards the White’s Cross junction. There is a slight incline in the L7072 between 3-4km but it descends to rejoin the R616 with a flat finish.

The race begins 200 metres from the Race HQ at Scoil Naomh Micheál. The school is located opposite The Boothouse Bar.

The route follows the R616 for approximately 2km to White’s Cross junction where it turns right onto the R614 heading towards Carrig na bhFear.

After approx 1.5km the route turns right again onto the L7072. This is the tightest area on the course.

The course turns left at Brian Dillons GAA pitch, returning on to the R616.

From here it is a 1.2k straight run back to the original starting point at Upper Glanmire Community Centre.
