Thank you Mrs. Doody!

On Friday 24th June we said goodbye to Mrs. Doody as she begins a new chapter in her life. Mrs. Doody was in our school for almost 40 years and had a lovely message for the children in the school hall that morning.

She will be sadly missed by all at Scoil Naomh Micheál but we know she will be back to visit us to let us know how the next chapter is progressing! Thanks you Mrs. Doody!

6th Class Cake Sale

On Friday 24th June, Elaine from the ISPCC called to the school and was presented with a cheque from our 6th class students. On Monday 20th June they held their annual cake sale and decided as a class to donate their money to the ISPCC. Well done to all the boys and girls!

Green Flag ceremony

On Friday 24th June we raised our 4th Green Flag in the school. The children in Junior and Senior Infants wore green to celebrated and recited a poem called ‘Water’. Mrs. Doody, on her last day in our school, raised the Green Flag and was accompanied by Senan on the trumpet. It was a lovely ceremony and huge thanks must go to our Green Schools committee.

Lord Mayors’ Visit

On Thursday 23rd June we were lucky to have Árdmhéara Chris O’Leary visit us in the school. He spoke with all the boys and girls about the importance of being nice to each other and how they should stand up to bullies to keep everyone safe. It was a special day for us all, but especially for Freya in Rang 1, as the Lord Mayor is her grandad!
